The Retreat, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit recovery program provides the time, structure and support, so important to recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. At a fifth of the cost of other residential programs and with the availability of scholarships, The Retreat is accessible to people of all incomes and circumstances. An individual can participate in The Retreat's 30-day program and spend 11 months in one of The Retreat's sober residences for less than $9,000.
Since inception The Retreat has provided $400,000 in scholarships to 350 individuals and families who lacked the financial resources to cover the cost of their recovery care. Each year over 20 percent of Retreat guest receive scholarship support.
The new site provides: a 40 bed, 30 day Retreat Program; a 20 bed Center for Family Recovery; a 20 bed Center for Spiritual Development; a meditation room, exercise facility; renovated dining rooms and kitchen; a 150 seat community meeting room and comfortable intimate settings for one on one meetings. Undesignated gifts allow The Retreat to use the funds where they are most needed; for initiatives such as research and transitional living expenses for guests who have completed The Retreat program.
