What
is an Affinity Program?
Affinity
Programs are designed to provide services such as insurance, office
supplies, etc., generally at discounted rates to members of an association,
organization or institution. Our Affinity Partners will play two
roles: offer useful benefits to the GBTC membership while also providing
financial support to the Council to assist in program development
Why
should I buy my group health insurance through SATCOM?
To save money on the cost of health insurance. Insurance is
one of the biggest costs our members face and we believe SATCOM's
rates are competitive. In addition to competitive rates, SATCOM
has agreed to provide each of our members a FREE health insurance
analysis - an analysis that may surface many money-saving opportunities
that could have a significant impact on your overall health insurance
costs.

SATCOM's team of twelve (12) professionals is committed to providing
the quality advice and service that have been its hallmark for more
than 14 years. And the GBTC stands behind their service, we're a
client.
What
does the health insurance cost?
Like any insurance, the rates depend on the size of your company
and its demographics. The rates for groups with 50 or more employees
are determined on a case-by-case basis. For groups with fewer than
50 employees, the rates are set by the State of Maryland. Though
these rates are fixed, this requirement may be overridden by federal
legislation in the future. If this happens, members who obtain their
insurance through SATCOM may experience even better rates.
