John Hill Named Co-Chair of GBTC Business Advisory Committee

BALTIMORE, MD (03/03/09) - The Greater Baltimore Technology Council has named John Hill, Vice President of IT Operations, G.1440, as the Co-Chair of the Business Advisory Committee for the 2008 - 2009 term. John joins Neil Davis of the Emerging Technology Center as co-chair and succeeds Don Grauel, President, L.E. Goldsborough & Sons, Inc.

The GBTC Business Advisory Committee is the initial “sounding board” - the voice for program development for the Council. The mission of the Committee is to develop the programs and resources that help members grow and succeed. The meetings are open to all GBTC members so that they may provide feedback and enact change within the Greater Baltimore region.

“John Hill has been involved with the GBTC in a leadership capacity for years. He has been a strong supporter and advocate for new program creation all while providing leadership and counsel to fellow members” says GBTC Executive Director, Steve Kozak. “In this new role as co-chair, John will bring the same level of enthusiasm and commitment that he his known for within the GBTC.”

John’s responsibilities at G.1440 include leading and managing the IT Solutions Group, which includes two Divisions comprised of “IT Consulting Solutions” (Project-based IT deliverables) and “Staffing Services” (IT professional staffing and permanent-placement services). With more than 35 years of sales, marketing and management experience in a variety of industries, John brings a vast knowledge-base derived from his background and experience within the manufacturing, services and advertising industries. Over the last ten years, John has fulfilled management and leadership roles specifically with IT services firms within the industry in the Baltimore/DC regions.
