Executive Summit Blue Ocean Strategy 10/28/09

EXECUTIVE SUMMIT: ARE YOU FEELING BLUE ENOUGH?
Applying the "Blue Ocean Strategy" to your Business

How would you like to “own” your market – and not worry about competition?
If that would make you happy, perhaps you should be more “blue.” Not “unhappy blue” but “Blue Ocean blue.” This highly-interactive morning gives you an opportunity to apply to your business the lessons of the best-seller Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant.

We’ll discuss:

  • What’s blue? What are the key Blue Ocean principles?
  • Why blue? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the strategy?
  • How blue are you? Do you have to be unique to be blue?
  • What’s blue about you? Is there a blue “bay” in your “Red Ocean”?
  • How blue? What do you do to get “more blue”?
  • Blue holes? What are the perils and pitfalls of introducing the strategy?
  • True blue? How do you sell “blue” – internally and externally?

Although the book has sold more than 2 million copies in 41 different languages, harnessing its concepts can be tricky. That’s why we’ve asked Greg Conderacci to facilitate a day of practical application of its principles. Greg, a well-known marketing consultant and business strategist, has taught “The Blue Ocean” at Johns Hopkins and Loyola Business Schools and used it with his clients.
