The first one was so successful, we decided to do it again…
The MD IT Showcase allows IT companies throughout the state of Maryland an opportunity to showcase their products and services to members of the Maryland General Assembly and other leaders in state government. The purpose is to stay “top of mind” in Annapolis, to ensure they never forget our industry…who we are, what we do and the impact we have on the growth of this great State of Maryland.
Through a consortium of Maryland’s four leading technology associations – Greater Baltimore Technology Council (GBTC), Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), Chesapeake Region Tech Council (CRTC), and Maryland Computer Services Association (MCSA) – 30 IT companies will take part in this private reception.
Attend/Exhibit
If you are interested in attending, REGISTER today. Exhibit fee = $300. Note: The 2009 event sold out and due to space limitations, the 2010 event will be limited to the first 30 IT companies that apply.
Eligibility
Only “tech” companies are eligible to attend/sponsor the MD IT Showcase…afterall this is about the IT industry. Individual tickets to the event are not available for purchase. Each sponsor will be provided three (3) tickets to the event and their attendees must be employees of their company.
Format
The event will be held at the Governor Calvert House which is located in the heart of Annapolis. Legislators will visit the reception as they come and go during the evening. Each participating company will have a standard table to display their promotional materials and meet/greet/interact with leaders of our State government. There will be an open bar for the legislators who attend.
Once there, you will be able to talk about your company, the many great things you’re doing, your challenges, the economic impact you see in your part of the IT world and give away tchotchkes…they love giveaway’s!
We’ll be providing a flyer with key message points about the State’s IT industry for you to distribute as well. Additionally, each exhibitor will be provided a list with the names & emails of your legislators…for you to invite to the event and/or to follow up with post event. Afterall, it’s never too late to start building relationships with the legislators representing your district.
And most importantly…this event is all about making friends and building the network…so sign up to exhibit…and meet some new friends.
